Mr. Skin's Nude at Film Festivals

From the Se7en - inspired opening credits to its "by the numbers" ending, this standard Craig Sheffer thriller tries very hard to be crappy, only for the underrated Dina Meyer to nearly bring the thing back to 'watchable'. From a skin standpoint, the flick does nothing but tease, giving us ample shots of Meyer completely naked, in the bath, in the shower, having sex with another woman, but none of these shots manages to show the bits we want revealed. Those flopsies that she revealed in that famous Starship Troopers shower scene are certainly there on the screen, but a well-placed hand or teasing camera angle always obscures the nipple, or butt crack, or beaver. Also getting down to her skimpies is Michele Hicks, who delights in a little lesbo seduction and looks great in her tighty whities, while Andee Frizell plays a tall blond decathlete who gets it on with Meyer in the shower - only to get stabbed to death. Once more, plenty of skin but nipples and beaver stay hidden. When a film shows this much naked flesh but so little payoff, it's a real bummer. I mean...it's not like you'd watch it for the story...
